The AAACF Community Scholarship Program (CSP) aims to increase post-secondary degree attainment for Washtenaw County students who are economically disadvantaged, youth of color, and/or the first generation in their family to attend college. This report summarizes the evolution of CSP from it's beginnings in 2014 and provides key findings of it's impact from an independent evaluation.

To understand how community and capital intersect, AAACF contracted both quantitative and qualitative expertise—The Urban Institute of Washington DC, Revalue of Ypsilanti, and EntryPoint of Ann Arbor—to produce a comprehensive analysis of the county.

AAACF contracted with Root Cause, a national research firm specializing in community development and systems change, to learn from older adults and caregivers in Washtenaw County. The Upward Mobility Data Dashboard, from Urban Institute's Upward Mobility Initiative, helps people understand key conditions affecting upward mobility from poverty and racial equity in communities. The dashboard provides Mobility Metrics data for 24 predictors. The predictors are indicators that are strongly associated with upward mobility, according to the Upward Mobility Framework’s three-part definition of the term that encompasses long-term economic success, dignity and belonging, and power and autonomy. The predictors fall within one of five pillars, which represent supports people need from their communities to achieve upward mobility.
The Social Capital Atlas measure the strength of our relationships and communities through 3 types of social capital in each neighborhood, high school, and college in the United States. Use this tool to explore social capital in Washtenaw County and how it connects to children's chances of rising out of poverty.
Health for All Washtenaw is meant to be a central location for information about health and factors that impact health in our community. Health For All Washtenaw provides local data on a broad range of topics affecting health in our community, promising practices from other health departments, and news articles highlighting the assets in our community.
Justice InDeed is working to map the deeds to thousands of homes in Washtenaw County that contain “racially restrictive covenants” – provisions that had prohibited Black people and other minorities from living there. The goal of the mapping project is to educate the community about the role these covenants played in causing segregation and economic inequality within Washtenaw County and to encourage the adoption of policies to repair the damage caused by systemic housing discrimination.
